RESOLUTION

HONORING

STEVEN  PERRUCCIO

FORMER PRESIDENT CEUI, SEIU, AFL-CIO, Local 511

June 15, 2007

WHEREAS,       Steven Perruccio served the State of Connecticut and the CEUI with distinction for over 37 years, and

WHEREAS,       Mr. Perruccio retired in April 2007, after serving selflessly and compassionately for more than 20 years as Union President, tirelessly representing his union members, which exceeded 7,000 workers, and

WHEREAS,       Mr. Perruccio always placed the highest priority on fairness, justice and integrity, contributing his time and considerable expertise to further the interests of CEUI, and

WHEREAS,       Mr. Perruccio possessed an extraordinary ability to infuse good nature and good humor into his dealings, while tenaciously pursing individual rights with great zeal and unwavering dedication, and

WHEREAS,       Mr. Perruccio’s compassion and genuine concern resonated with every individual he encountered, and his life’s work underscored an exceptional level of personal dedication and ceaseless determination, and

WHEREAS,       While we bid farewell to his leadership, it is with best wishes and hopes that the future holds only joy and happiness that he so richly deserves and which he brought to so many others, Therefore, be it

RESOLVED,      That the Board of Trustees and the Chancellor for the Connecticut State University System expresses to Mr. Perruccio on the occasion of his retirement their heartfelt appreciation for his many contributions to the Connecticut State University System and its universities and extends to him and his family their best wishes for many happy and healthy years to come.
