CONTINUATION OF THE
CENTER FOR CARIBBEAN/LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES
at
CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY

WHEREAS, The Center for Caribbean/Latin American Studies was established at Central Connecticut State University by Board Resolution 95-71 as the Center for Caribbean Studies and reauthorized by BR 00-94 with a change in name to reflect the Center's expanded commitment to scholarship and educational partnership in Latin America, and
WHEREAS, The President of Central Connecticut State University has evaluated the work of the Center for Caribbean/Latin American Studies and has recommended its continuation, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut State University System authorizes the continuation of the Center for Caribbean/Latin American Studies at Central Connecticut State University and requires that the President of Central submit a report and recommendations to the Chancellor of the Connecticut State University System evaluating the performance of the Center by September 1, 2010. A sunset date of December 31, 2010 will be in force if the Center is not recommended for continuance.
