RESOLUTION
concerning
THE USE OF PLANT FUNDS BY
SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY
FOR THE DESIGN OF A NEW STUDENT PARKING GARAGE
December 8, 2006 WHEREAS, Southern Connecticut State University's 2004 Master Plan recommends the development of four new parking garages to meet the current and projected needs of the University, and
WHEREAS, SCSU proposes to construct a new 1,200-car student parking garage on the site of Lot 7 adjacent to Moore Field House and the new Energy Center, and
WHEREAS, Construction funds for this project will be provided through the next CHEFA bond sale, which is anticipated to take place in Fall 2007, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That Southern Connecticut State University is authorized to use up to $2,200,000 in plant funds to provide for the design phase of a new student parking garage to be located on Lot 7, in New Haven, Connecticut.
