RESOLUTION

CONCERNING

A UTILTIY EASEMENT AT THE WESTSIDE CAMPUS

OF WESTERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY

TO THE CONNECTICUT LIGHT & POWER COMPANY

October 6, 2005

WHEREAS,    The Department of Public Works is in the process of constructing a new Student Center at the Westside Campus of Western Connecticut State University, and

WHEREAS,    Board Resolution #04-65 granted an easement to the Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) for electrical service to this site, and

WHEREAS,    CL&P will install new primary electrical service, switchgear and a new transformer to serve the electrical needs of the project, and

WHEREAS,    CL&P will install, operate and maintain the new primary electrical service, and

WHEREAS,    The Department of Public Works has renegotiated the location and layout of the original easement, therefore be it

RESOLVED,   That Board Resolution #04-65 is rescinded, and be it further

RESOLVED,   That the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut State University System authorize the conveyance by the Department of Public Works of an easement to the Connecticut Light and Power Company for the installation of a transformer, switchgear and primary electrical service to the new Student Center at the Westside Campus of Western Connecticut State University as indicated on the "Compilation Plan Map showing Easement Area to be granted to the Connecticut Light and Power Company across the property of State of Connecticut, Westside Campus Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, CT" CL&P DWG# ES-C11B6-3759/CL&P FILE# S5049D by URS Corporation AES dated October 2004, revised 3-18-05 and further revised 6-01-05.
