RESOLUTION

CONCERNING

THE GIFT OF TWO SCULPTURES ENTITLED

"THE PRESENT" AND "THE FUTURE"

FROM THE CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION

TO CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY

October 6, 2005

WHEREAS,   A sculpture by Robert DiTarando entitled "The Past" was installed as the centerpiece of Central Connecticut State University's Campus Mall in 2003, and

WHEREAS,   "The Present" and "The Future" are the second and third sculptures in the series done by Mr. DiTarando, who toured Central's campus and delved into the history of New Britain to develop concepts for the sculptures, and

WHEREAS,   The cost of each sculpture is $65,000 made possible by private donations to the Foundation, therefore be it

RESOLVED,   That the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut State University System accepts the gift of the sculptures entitled "The Present" and "The Future" from the Central Connecticut State University Foundation, Inc., and expresses its gratitude to the Foundation for its generous gift to the university.
