RESOLUTION

CONTINUING

THE CENTER FOR PUBLIC POLICY AND SOCIAL RESEARCH

AT CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY

October 6, 2005

WHEREAS,   The Center for Public Policy and Practical Politics was established at Central Connecticut State University by Board Resolution #00-71 and was designated as a Connecticut higher education center of excellence, and

WHEREAS,   The Center for Social Research was established at Central Connecticut State University by Board Resolution #92-93, and

WHEREAS,   The Center for Social Research was incorporated into the Center for Public Policy and Practical Politics to form a single administrative unit called the Center for Public Policy and Social Research with no change in mission or status by BR 03-13, with a sunset date of December 31, 2005, therefore be it

RESOLVED,   That the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut State University System authorizes the continuation of the Center for Public Policy and Social Research at Central Connecticut State University and requires that the President of Central submit a report to the Chancellor of the Connecticut State University System evaluating the performance of the Center and recommending continuance or discontinuance by September 1, 2010, and be it further

RESOLVED,   That a sunset date of December 31, 2010 will be in force for the Center for Public Policy and Social Research at Central Connecticut State University unless the Board of Trustees acts to the contrary.
