VIDEO: Move in day for students at WestConn

DANBURY — In what will be a four-year ritual for freshmen, students moved into dorms Friday at Western Connecticut State University.

"I wanted him to concentrate," said Bryan Carson of Somers, who was helping his son Bryan move into Litchfield Hall Friday. "I liked WestConn because he had only one friend here."

Bryan Carson was pretty happy to meet his roommate, David Diggle, another freshman. Diggle had moved in three weeks earlier, because he’s on the WestConn football team.

Carson hopes to try out next year.

"I wanted him to concentrate the first year," said Bryan Carson, the father.

WestConn Spokesman Paul Steinmetz said 420 students were scheduled to move in on Friday.
