RedLine

Connecticut State University System institutions undertake a wide range of initiatives to engage and transform our students, community and world. The vibrant energy on our campuses fuels outreach programs, engages leaders through centers of excellence, shares experience through lecture activities, and promotes academic excellence through endowed chairs.

Outreach programs

Enterprising collaborations between CSUS universities and their local communities enhance relationships with those beyond the university campus, benefiting current and prospective students, local businesses and community organizations, and the community at-large.  Learn more about the broad array of initiatives and connections that are making a difference across Connecticut.

Institutes and centers

Institutes and centers are established throughout the Connecticut State University System to coordinate research, service, and/or educational/training activities that supplement and extend existing instruction, research, and service at the universities.  In some cases, institutes and centers are established to coordinate support activities across the CSUS.  Link to institutes and centers at each of the CSUS universities.

Endowed chairs

The strength of a university lies in its faculty. The identification, recruitment and support of that faculty are therefore a major priority throughout the CSUS. The endowment of a faculty chair in a particular discipline is a reflection of that commitment, and a means of demonstrating that essential priority. Learn more about endowed chairs at Central, Eastern, Southern and Western.
